What is Proctology?

A proctologist is a doctor who specialises in the rectal area.
Every year, our Proctology pratice has around 4,000 contacts with national and international patients and performs 200 ambulatory procedures (under local anaesthetic or surgery).
We also work closely with the renowned rectum centre in Mannheim (Germany). This guarantees you personalised care and advice at the highest level, based on the latest knowledge.
One in two people will suffer from a problem with their rectum at some point in their lives. Proctology not only deals with Haemorrhoids, but also with many other conditions that can cause similar symptoms.
If you experience clear bleeding, itching, burning, wetness, discharge, swelling, "leakage" or pain when passing stools, you should definitely consult a proctologist.
